Installation
Installing Notifly takes two steps: adding the app to your Shopify store, then placing the widget on your product pages.
Step 1 — Install from the Shopify App Store
Section titled “Step 1 — Install from the Shopify App Store”- Go to the Notifly listing on the Shopify App Store
- Click Install
- Review the permissions Notifly requests and click Install app to confirm
During installation, Notifly automatically registers a metafield on your shop (notifly.app_url). This is how the widget on your storefront knows where to send subscription data. No action required on your part.
You’ll be redirected to the Notifly dashboard inside your Shopify admin once installation is complete.
Step 2 — Add the widget to your theme
Section titled “Step 2 — Add the widget to your theme”The widget needs to be placed on your product pages. How you do this depends on which type of Shopify theme you’re using:

Not sure which you have? In your Shopify admin go to Online Store → Themes and click Customize on your active theme. If you see Add block when editing a product page section, you’re on OS 2.0. If you don’t, follow the legacy path.
After installation
Section titled “After installation”Once the widget is on your product pages, complete First-Time Setup to configure which products are eligible, set up notification templates, and connect any external accounts (Twilio, SendGrid) if applicable.
